Good Dog

We are all sad to say that Maximillian, our beloved beagle of almost 12 years, passed away early in the morning of April 1st.  He had seemed to age a lot recently, but it came as a big surprise, and we don't know what the cause was. We miss him very much. Here are a few pictures of our favorite puppy dog. Please feel free to share your own memories of Max in the comments.

    Oh, I shall miss him too! He was such a warm, lovable companion during my guitar lessons. Even in the warm summer months, he'd find a spot in the sun to lie down in! What a wonderful friend he was to so many of us. Thanks for posting these photos. Such a character! Love & hugs to you all, Ellen

    Thank you Ted and Ellen. Ted, it was kind of you not to mention that Max was blowing his coat when we did that hiking trip, and he shed all over your car! Ellen, Max in the music studio looking for handouts of pats and cookies is a favorite memory of mine as well. Of course it was very rare that Max would actually get a cookie in the music studio, but he was always the optimist--a good lesson to us all.
